Early beginnings - Honk! Alice in Wonderland, Winter Shoot, TFP shoot

It's been 7 weeks into 2016 and wow hasnt it been busy!

I was confirmed for a Winter Outdoor Shoot with the lovely Deb & Rahul - out of over 400 applicants i was one of 7 chosen!

I had a lovely time, it was chilly but sunny in Bushey Park near Hampton Court, the palace where Henry 8th lived. Mum got some lovely pictures, all very natural she said.

A couple of weeks after that I was offered a TFP (this stands for Time for Prints; it is a way of having experience in front of the camera and some free copies of the pictures too.) by Elizabeth Griffiths. Mum always asks me if I want to do photo shoots as I prefer acting but I am getting to enjoy them as i see it as a way of acting too ;-)

Mum had organised for this shoot to be done with my friend Jen - her & her mum came all the way from Nottingham so we could have a shoot together. We are so different Jen & me, here is a picture that we were given

We had great fun, we are like twinnies as we are both the same age, height and crazy as each other. Mum got on lovely with Jen's mum and we all went for lunch after the pictures.

It is now half term, and I am really busy - EVERY night!! - rehearsing ready for Thursday, Fri, SAt performances of HONK! with Hitchin Thespians. I am Maureen the Moorhen.

As well as that, I am currently studying LAMDA in Communication and also Musical Theatre. It's good to learn about the songs, lyrics and verse and prose. I'm doing all this with the top Hat Stage School guys, Andy & Warren. They are really kind and help me out lots. I've only got 5 weeks left til exam time.

In January, I also attended an open audition at Gordon Craig Theatre to be part of the junior ensemble for Easter Show - alice in wonderland. Mum didnt think i would get in - but i did!!! hurray, so did my friends Molly & Olivia but we are in different groups.

I begin rehearsals for this easter show on 12th March, so busy!

I also had an audition with a lovely director called Talitha for a short film, but was pipped at the post. I was also given an audition time for another short but wasn't feeling very well so I didn't attend :-(.

To top the beginning of the year off, i have been renewed in representation by the wonderful Daisy & Dukes! I hope i do them and my family proud by getting some awesome opportunities...here's to 2016!

Happy New Year - welcome to 2016

I had an awesome Christmas, i got lots of nice things and had lots of people round and ate lots of food...I really dont want to go back to school, but i go back as an ambassador so it should be fun and I get to go to Harry Potter World on Friday with school.

I had some really sad news though, Staveley Theatre Academy has closed and will not be opening. I'm still really upset about it, I loved going and Gemma was just so awesome. We did so well at the West End Concert. I think i'm going to look at some other saturday theatre schools, but mum says I need a break and will take time to find something good that i will love. :-( :-(

Still, im hoping that I will get some more acting on tv or films as i really enjoy that. I've got a model shoot some time in January and mum said another photographer that does fine art pictures has mentioned she would like to shoot me too. I like shoots that i can act in, like with Rebecca Challis and even with Lisa Visser pictures. Blue steel pose ha ha ha.

So, we all saw me and the others in Further Adventures of Professor Branestawm - on BBC1 on Christmas Eve at 5:20pm.  Not one of my family like Harry Hill, but they all watched it just to see me. Thank goodness I was in it quite a bit! It was brilliant to see it all, as it then made sense, i didnt understand the old lady at the end that came into the hall, but now ive seen the whole thing, i get it!

Here are some pictures mum took when freezed the screen.

It's Panto time...oh no it isn't..

There wasn't any open auditions for the town pantomime so im really pleased to be in the school one, it's Jack & the Beanstalk and i'm...well...i'm gonna be awewsome!

I'm really happy as it has a comedy element and my inspiration is Lady C from I'm a Celebrity, mum and dad made my costume - they really enjoy making things for my shows. Dad has made full sized Roman sheilds, a roman sword and an awesome shotgun out of cardboard, tubes and a hot glue gun - that was for the Mr Fox acting in the Summer at Staveley.

It was my parents evening at school today...everyone said i was just amazing ;-) My music teacher got to my weak point (mum) and asked her if i could fit choir in on a tuesday before ballet. She has been asking me every week - at least its not at lunch. And my PE teacher wants me to join the sports team netball, i dont think so, i would do a trampoline team, I love trampolining.

Mum finally told my director of learning about the tv programme i filmed for. I havent told anyone because it would be really embarrassing if i told people and they watched it and i wasnt in it or just my foot was in it. Once i have seen myself in it, then i will tell people.

We have a day of rehersal on friday and again tuesday and we perform on tuesday & wednesday. I know my parents are really looking forward to it...not!

It's looking a lot like Christmas...

So my time has flown and i haven't been on here to say about all the amazing things i've been doing! I will try and put as much down as i can remember...

Firstly, my main thing is I started a new school. I really like my new school and am already involved in the school pantomime - Jack n The Beanstalk - I am going to be the Harp which has a lot of comedy elements to it. Mum has made me a costume as the school says it hasn't  much money, mum doesn't mind as she likes making things like costumes!

Staveley Theatre Academy:

On Friday night, Gemma from Staveley, asked me to perform at the Hertford Light Switch On, I felt very honored and sung Ring of Keys from Fun Home, the new musical in America. We also sung Let It Go from Frozen and i could hear my mum singing her head off...ha ha ha

Here's us all on the stage, im 2nd from right

Here is a link to the performance, Sophia is the girl i sang the duet with. https://t.co/v35llRNBXR

On Sunday 22nd November the Staveley Theatre Academy (both Hitchin & the advanced academy of older ones at Hertford) went to the Actors Church in Covent Garden, London and we performed all our songs & dances. There were 9 West End stars with us, Oliver Martin (Fiyero in Wicked) was there with Julie Stokes from We Will Rock You and many more.

Here i am singing Ring of Keys

Daisy & Dukes:

I have had some really good castings with my agent, after one self-tape for the BBC, I was chosen to be the main characters friend along with three other girls. We had to get up mega early and travel to Guildford in Surrey. Mum took me one day, Sadie's mum took me the 2nd day and dad took me the third day. It was GREAT!! We met all the actors and they were really nice, I tried to teach one of the men the basics of ballet ha ha the food was really good too.

The show is going to be on at Xmas, it will be on BBC and i think it may be on Xmas Eve...I will try to update as soon as i know.

Hitchin Young Thespians Theatre:

I auditioned with Hitchin Young Thespians again this year for Honk Junior! and I really wanted to be the Cat but i got Maureen the Moorhen - this one is a comedy one, and im going for an Essex accent babez..ha ha.

Case Files - Tricell Films:

During the half term, I went to the Midlands to see my brother, stay at my aunties house and then spent a day in a sports field playing Jessica Mason, a young girl whose family has been killed by zombies!! I really enjoyed getting into character, it helped that i have been reading Skulduggery Pleasant so i used Valkrye Cain as my influence. It was a long day and i didn't get to say all my lines - but then i was supposed to end up dead too and that didn't happen either, there were hundreds of zombie extras, i cant wait to film again.

Summer Time and the Weather is....awful

Wow its been a while since i last posted and I have been b-u-s-y!!

One of the more exciting projects was that I had to go to a costume fitting for the BBC Childrens programme Hetty Feather. The down part of this was that it was cancelled and the dates they then offered i was on holiday :-( still, i wasn't going to not go on holiday as it was my first time abroad!

My family & I had a lovely rest and I got even more confident with my swimming and am now happy to go under water and can swim quite far under there too, i loved it!! I also loved the entertainment gang and got dragged up with the little kids to walk around singing Chi Chi Whah, a spanish kids song which was really funny.

They also had a Karaoke night, I went up and sung "Somewhere out There" and also "I Dreamed a Dream"...and yes, i totally SMASHED it!! The professional singer came up to me and said i had to work on my breathing to enable me to stretch out to the end, which i will be doing with Staveley, so happy :-)

I did sneek in another quick job before i went on hols and that was an extra job for a feature film. Dad had to take me really early in the morning into London. I had a fab time!

I am considering changing my hairstyle to include a long, side fringe, but not sure, we keep umming and ahhhing.

I also had to go to the DEMON DENTISTS! they took 5 of my baby teeth out...when i got home, mum got a text from Tara at Daisy & Dukes to say i had a casting for a Toothpaste commercial the next day, ha ha i couldnt go obvs as now had gaps - still i hope my big teeth hurry up and grow through, tho i may have to have a brace.

Plans for the future & things i missed out since last blogged...
1) Back to the fabulous Staveley Theatre Academy - great things ahead ;-)
2) I got through to perform with Rare Productions in Annie but chose not to as it was ensemble and I really have lots going on from september so thought it best to leave it.
3) Hitchin Thespians are planning on doing Honk! I have a few roles i would like to try for...meow..haha
4) I am going to try Ballet, mum says im like a baby elephant so it may help me be a bit more delicate..haha
5) starting my brand new secondary school, looking forward to this and all the arts things i can do.
6)have an audition for a horror on Friday, fingers x!

It's been a while since i had to learn a script and whilst im loving my holibobs i want to do some wooorrrkkkkk! Keeping positive!
